Each team will test the maneuverability of their vehicle and the reflexes of their pilot in this navigation challenge! In this timed trial, each team will navigate around a series of obstacles. Penalties of 3 seconds will be added if an obstacle is touched! The blimp must also stay within the 3-dimensional boundary of the course -(3 second penalty).
The obstacles include vertical poles/boxes that range from 3 - 8 feet from the ground. There will be 5 structures to navigate around.
Each team will be given a 10 game elements (foam 'X' structures that dimensions ~ _ x _x in and weigh ___) and an element depot. All teams will be given 3 minutes to lift and place as many as the game elements in the depot (a bucket 8 inches in diameter sitting 1-2 ft above the ground).
Each team will include an effector mounted so that it hangs below their blimp. The effector can not excede X x X in dimension (broad/forward facing dimension). The blimp will navigate down an "alley" of 8 ft where they must knock down as many game elements with their effector as possible.
